Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day that ended with a beautiful starry night. Today it’s foggy and gloomy and grey. Yesterday it was summer, today it’s something different. Autumn is creeping up on us, like it is meant to be at this time of the year. The sun is not strong enough anymore to warm you up on a sunny day, and nights and mornings record one-digit temperatures. It’s not long before the trees will change their colours and this little place will be blessed with a beautiful foliage. But then the gorgeous leaves will fall and endless cold showers will incessantly pour on us until one day, finally, those rains will turn into snow and the landscape will become beautiful again and we will have transitioned into a whole new season.
Thankfully, yesterday I went out for a walk in my neighbourhood to enjoy the sun and I took the camera with me. There is still a lot of green around, although the tips of the branches of some trees have already started changing their colour. The days are getting visibly shorter day by day, and the golden hour comes earlier every day. Yesterday it was beautiful so I want to share here that glorious moment of the day when the sun gets lower and paints everything a warmer tone. Here’s a selection of images taken during my short walk in the late afternoon, what could be some of the last summer photos of the year, as very soon we will wake up to a totally new scenery painted in autumn colours.
