One Lovely Blog Award

I am grateful to accept the “One Lovely Blog Award” nomination from Sweet Spell. It’s always a pleasure to be nominated; it’s also something that happened a couple of times in the past months with different awards, but I have always been too busy to actually make a post and continue spreading the love. My new and better work schedule is allowing me to keep up with my blog more regularly now so I want to give full credit to this nomination.

Here are the rules to accept this nomination.

  • Write a post to accept this nomination.
  • Thank the person who nominated you and mention their blog link.
  • List 7 things about yourself.
  • Mention the links of the blogs you further nominate.
  • Notify the recipients of their award.
  • Post these rules again.

So, before I list 7 things about myself, let me thank Sweet Spell for nominating me, along with other wonderful bloggers, to this award. Please make sure to pay a visit and drool over the beautiful cookies and biscuits featured there. Go! Now!

And here are 7 things about myself:

  1. Two years ago I left a beautiful city (the most beautiful in Eastern Europe, IMHO) and a permanent contract to move to Sweden. Two years later I’m still happy with this decision, although I do miss Krakow sometimes.
  2. I’ve never really been a sporty person, but I’m proud of what I have accomplished trying. I learned to swim in my teens and to ski in my twenties. Nobody ever said I had to become an athlete, after all, but at a basic level I’m doing great!
  3. The Lion King makes me cry every time, ever since I saw it for the first time in a theatre in 1995.
  4. I don’t enjoy shopping for shoes. I find it tedious. I don’t know what’s wrong with me since popular culture should have me crazy about it. But nope, not my thing.
  5. I’m currently in the (slow) process of learning my sixth language and Latin, that I have studied for 6 years, is not included in the count.
  6. To me, the best thing about travelling is the anticipation of a future travel. I must confess that if I have two consecutive trips planned I will at times find myself enjoying more the anticipation of the next one than actually the full adventure I’m living in the present. I feed on the future.
  7. My camera and lenses are my most precious possessions. I believe that it is in photography that I found the best way to express myself and few things give me as much satisfaction as photography.

(Why have I written this post late at night when I could only come up with weird things?)

Here are the bloggers I would like to nominate (even if you will not take part in this, dear blogging colleagues, please take this nomination as a sign of appreciation from one loyal reader):

Snow to Seas

Sakura Junction

Italophilia

Life Bellissima

Five Senses of Food

The Busy Spatula

ChiliJonCarne

Rubber Slippers in Italy

So for you, wonderful colleagues, I will repeat the rules and hope you appreciate my nomination. To accept it you have to:

  • Write a post to accept this nomination.
  • Thank the person who nominated you and mention their blog link.
  • List 7 things about yourself.
  • Mention the links of the blogs you further nominate.
  • Notify the recipients of their award.
  • Post these rules again.

Thank you again and congrats to further nominees!

    1. Italian, Polish and English are languages I’m fluent in. I can also speak French and Spanish but I never got to reach the same level as the other three. I guess my favourite is my mother tongue, Italian.

  1. Congratulations, Eva! And thank you very much for nominating my blog for this award. I am very honoured and appreciate, however, I have been a little busy lately. I am sorry to disappoint you but I don’t think I can manage posting regarding the award at the moment unfortunately. (Sorry about the delay of mentioning about this as I also have been quite ill)

    1. No need to apologise! I wanted to spread the word about your blog hoping that my readers might find it as interesting as I find it, but there is no need to repost the award. I’m happy to know you have appreciated it 😉 this qualifies as accepting the award to me!
