Welcome to my website where I share recipes and food ideas for foodies and home chefs! Let me inspire the meals for your next night in. Are you hosting a dinner with friends? See, I love preparing food. I just find the process fun and getting to eat what I made is just the best reward. And you know what's even better? Getting to share my food with friends and family! For this incurable passion I guess I have my heritage to thank (or blame): I am half-Italian and half-Polish.
Italy and Poland may have two rather different cultures but there is one big common denominator: the importance of food. Both sides of my family regard mealtime as the most important time of the day and not taking a seat at the dinner table as a capital sin.
So here's me. My Italian side obsessing over the ingredients, where they come from, convincing you why this wine pairing is just right and my Polish side tirelessly refilling your plate, insisting you take home the leftovers, if-I-love-you-I-will-feed-you.
To make things even more interesting, in 2014 I moved to Sweden, where I'm currently living. So to my portfolio of Italian and Polish recipes I have started adding Swedish and Scandinavian ones. One more culture, one more language, one more cuisine, right?
Why Electric Blue Food?
This has nothing to do with food colouring, although using food colouring to make eccentric cupcakes was one of the first aspects of baking I explored in my cooking journey. Electric Blue is actually the title of a song by The Cranberries. One of their least famous songs, I've always loved it for its eerie and dark vibes.
All of the blogs I've had in the past were called Electric Blue something, so I just decided to stick with the name. I opened this blog after I came to Sweden as an excuse to share what I was eating in this new chapter of my life. I didn't know I had boarded an amazing learning experience that made me improve both as a cook and as a photographer. And made me connect with many wonderful people.
